Baylee's Dance Solo!

Baylee decided she wanted to do a solo dance this year & so we had one of my drill team girls, Savannah--who is now a Cougarette for BYU--choreograph it for her & Baylee loves it! Baylee has been practicing it SO hard & I have been helping her with cleaning it & making sure it looks good:) I've been wanting her to have some practice performances so she could be prepared for when she competes it. She has done 2 performances with it so far, one at Payson, & one at Maple Mountain High School--both places were where I used to coach. She has done so great & I have to say I'm pretty proud!

New Owners of...

Aspen Salon! Well Chaden & I are now owners--with his sister, Crystal, & her husband, Scott--of a salon! It is the Aspen Salon in Provo, on University Avenue. It is more north University Ave., on the way to the Riverwoods Mall. Anyway, we are super excited about this new adventure & just wanted to let everybody know, of course! Chaden has always wanted to run his own business & this opportunity was one we couldn't pass up. His sister, Crystal, is a hair stylist & knows basically everything about salons, beauty, hair, makeup, etc. Scott knows a lot about accounting & running a business as well, Chaden is doing all the computer/IT stuff as well as just general management, & I'm just helping with social media stuff like Facebook, advertising, blogging...anything that I can do to promote the salon.

So here is the salon & we are already making awesome changes & getting great new stylists, etc.

Our Christmas Time!

Well I can't believe Christmas is already over! It was a crazy, busy, GREAT Christmas for us & we had a lot going on this time of the year for sure. Here are some of the highlights:

This is Elle sitting on Santa's lap at her preschool--she is getting so big:( Baylee participated in her school choir & we went to see her perform at school. It was a wonderful choir performance & I enjoyed seeing her up there singing!

This is the night before Christmas with everything set out & ready for the kids to see in the morning after Santa had come!

Here are the kids in there Christmas Eve pajamas that Grandma made them. They looked so cute & they loved having their names on them!

Here is just a bit from Christmas morning. There was lots so I just posted the best ones. The kids really had a great Christmas & enjoyed the gifts they got! It is so fun doing Christmas with kids--I love seeing them excited & so happy! It was the best one yet!

And, of course, here they are in their new Christmas Sunday outfits that I made for them. I really loved this material & making the cute skirt, dress, & tie to match. They looked adorable & super Christmas'y' at church.

I hope everyone had as wonderful of a Christmas as we did! It was just so great to be together with family, to go to church & celebrate Christ's birth--the real meaning of Christmas, & to be happy with all that I have in my life! Happy Holidays!

This past Monday evening was the girls' Christmas dance concert & it was SO fun for me to see both my girls on stage on the same night. This was Elle's very first performance & she did awesome. She is a natural on the stage, of course, & had no fear & danced her best! Baylee is truely growing so much in dance this year. Her performance level is getting so much better & she looks so comfortable on the stage & doing her routines! Great Job to my beautiful dancing girls! I am a very happy, former dancer, mother:)!

Meet Julia Child!

Baylee had a school assignment called the 'Wax Museum' & she had to pick a famous historical person to be & write a paper on. She chose Julia Child & she wrote a paper on her, made a poster, & then she had to write up a 30 second speech to memorize & be able to recite for people during the Wax Museum. She even decorated her table with cute things that represented Julia & of course a plate of cookies for added effect. She did awesome & looked so cute, as usual:)

Kyler had his very first Pinewood Derby race for Scouts & it was so fun! He decided on the shape of his car with his dad & of course he wanted to paint it blue with BYU on it. It looked great! He won a couple races with 1st places & took some 2nd & 3rd places too. He just had so much fun & I loved watching it. It was Kyler's first & my first derby too! Loved it!

Baylee had her dance benefit concert for Shriner's Hospital called 'Art With Heart'--'Kids Who Dance So Other's Can Walk'. She absolutely LOVED doing it this year! I think she really missed performing since she hasn't for over a year from taking a break from dance last year. My sister Kenzi & I went to watch her on the Sat. night performance & it was an amazing show! Kenzi never gets to watch Bay dance since she always lived so far away--but now she is here & Baylee was so excited to have her come watch her. Baylee is growing up way too fast & is just a beautiful girl & is doing so well in dance. I love it! I'm a VERY proud mom:)

More Halloween Fun!

The kids actually had this past Friday off for school & they were so excited because that was daddy's work Halloween party. They got to get all dressed up & go have lunch with daddy & then go trick-or-treating around his work. Here they are in their costumes ready to go...& a couple of pics of Elle in her halloween attire for pre-school.

Chaden's work has contests to see which group does the best decorating for Halloween. Chaden's group did the Wizard of Oz & it was incredible! The kids absolutely loved it...& so did everybody else. They did a great job with all of the drawings & the flying monkeys & the yellow brick road. Super Fun!

Here are pics of the kids just goofing off at daddy's work & trick-or treating. By the 4th floor they were so sick of candy & were begging to stop! Ha!

And here we are doing our annual Halloween tradition at Crystals house. Making carmel apples! Yummy! (I didn't take many pics...too busy I guess.) Here they are & they tasted as good as they look. Chaden just got a hair cut too from Crys & he looks so cute in that pic...just sayin! :) Thanks Crys & Scott & Ty for a fun day!HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

OCTOBER!

Well October is almost over & we have been so busy...since the very beginning of the month! It's been a fun busy. Of course I have been decorating. I love to decorate for Halloween & I am loving having a fireplace to decorate on. Kyler & I started off the October month with a Mother & Son Halloween party. I dressed up as an Egyptian & Kyler was a Ninja. We had lots of fun together.

There were tons of games. Pumpkin bowling, 'bat' (airplane) flying, skeleton building, & lots others. Here we are doing some of them.

THRILLER! I decided it was time to take my little girl to see Thriller. This is one of my favorite things to do & it was SO much fun to go with Baylee. She is growing up & is liking more grown-up things & of course we both love dance, so we went to a scary night of dancing & it was AWESOME! Baylee was a little scared but she still dared to take pictures with a zombie girl & the werewolves. What a fun, memorable night for us.

Well, I've been on 'dates' with my other two kids this month so I decided to go with Elle on her school field trip to the pumpkin patch. It was fun to go & see Elle be with her school mates & of course to pick out pumpkins, eat donuts, & go on a hayride. Every picture I took Elle had to pose with her hand up & hip out--Love it! Love her!

Elle just had her pre-school pictures taken a couple weeks ago & she already got them back. She looks SO cute! I love this picture! It shows off her big smile & beautiful face. She actually went to school crying that day...but she pulled off this!

I wanted to show-off my very new photoshop skills! I am taking a digital scrapbooking class & I love it! It is so much fun & I am learning a ton to be able to scrapbook on my computer. What do you think of my page?

Climbing Mount Timpanogos!

Chaden & I decided to challange ourselves & climb Timpanogos mountain with my sister Kenzi & her husband Jared. I have climbed it 3 times when I was younger (much younger) & Kenz has climbed it too. Chaden & Jared never had so we were excited to share that with them. We put the kids to bed at my mom's & got ready to go. We went to eat a good meal around midnight & headed up the canyon. We started hiking at 2am in the morning...our goal was to get to the top to see the sunrise.

This time hiking up Timp was quite a lot harder than I remember. The elevation change was the hardest thing for me. I felt like I couldn't breathe very well & that made walking uphill the whole first six hours real hard. Towards the end we pushed ourselves & got up there right before sunrise. Here are the pics of us at the top & the amazing views.

We sat down to rest, eat, & watch the sun rise together. It was absolutely gorgeous, breath-taking, & beautiful. We truely saw the sun rise from the very beginning of the morning & here are some of the pictures we captured.

More pics...we did see some goats on our hike & to be honest they were cool but scary, especially since they wouldn't get off the trail & me & my sister were afraid they would never move or that they would charge us.

The most rewarding thing about going on this reaaaally long hike are all the views & the beauty of these mountains. It was so beautiful throughout the whole hike.

On the way back...there were big snow glaciers we had to cross, & water falls we had to cross over & under. We went from sweating to freezing; from energetic to super tired & sore; from loving the hike to hating it...especially at the end--the 11th hour of walking we just thought it would never end. But then it does & you enjoy the whole ride home & the next couple of days talking to each other about what we all accomplished together. No greater feeling!

Thanks Kenz & Jared for doing this with us--we loved being with both of you & I loved that I could do this with my hubby too!The next morning as we were traveling to an early morning soccer game we were pointing out the mountain we just climbed to the kids & noticed there was SNOW all over the top of it. We must of made it just in time. Phew!

There are two words that are well known in our lives right now, & they are SOCCER & DANCE! That is what we do around here...dance class, soccer practice, dance rehersal, & soccer games. I love it & it is so fun to watch my kids do what they love to do.

Another school year has started & I can't believe I have a pre-schooler, a 3rd grader, & a 5th grader! Ahhh! It's kinda sad because they are all growing up so fast but I look forward to them starting a new school year & seeing them develop & become more involved in school & other activities. They were definitely excited to go back to school & see all their friends. Obviously they looked so cute & handsome. Here are some pics of their first day of school outfits!

Having a fun, busy summer!

Well we were finally able to go to Bear Lake over the 24th of July holiday. It was a blast! We did everything--twice--and we were so sore by the end of the weekend. Here are some pics of all the fun!

Biscuiting! Jared & Kenzi with Sammy too on the biscuit. Chaden & Jared had a hilarious ride together too! Kyler was brave too & rode with mom on the biscuit. Chaden & I sure got whipped around on the biscuit too! We were laughing so hard we couldn't breath! What a blast!

Of course Chaden wakeboarded (which I only videoed so no pics), I skied & kneeboarded--which was a blast too. But the best thing about the weekend was Baylee decided to do the kneeboard all by herself. She did AWESOME! She did it all by herself & totally was a natural. Nice job Bay!

After all of our fun at the lake we didn't come home to anything fun:( While we were gone our sprinker pipe came un-glued & our whole basement flooded! Yes, it was bad & yes, we just finished it about a year or so ago & yes, now we have to totally refinish it. Not all that fun, but we are dealing with it. I have one thing to say about the whole incident...don't use Allstate for your homeowners insurance! They don't cover anything like this!

So while the basement was drying out the girls & I went up to Park City for Baylee's dance camp! It was nice to get away from it all--especially because the house was so hot without being able to turn on the A/C with all the fans on down in the basement. Anyways--our hotel room was huge & we just hung out & watched Baylee dance, swam, & went school shopping!

Right after Park City we had plans to go play with my sister in Vernal! I am so glad we were able to still go because we had so much fun with her & her family! The kids loved it & already want to go back. Here we are at the fish hatchery feeding all the fish! It was gorgeous there too!

We went to a fun splash park too & the kids loved it!

We went shoe shopping too for school, went to the Vernal temple with my sister, & just hung out at her house & watched the kids all play together! Thanks Kenz for the fun!

We've had a GREAT summer, with a few bumps, but we are ready to calm down & go back to school!

Baylee turns 10!

I can't believe my baby is now double digits...10! It's kinda sad, we have a 10 year old. She is growing up way too fast, but she is growing up great! Baylee is the best of the best! I don't know what I would do without her in my life! She is amazing & I love her so much! Happy Birthday Baylee!

Well her birthday started the day before when she wanted to make treats for her dance class for her birthday. We made some stinkin' delicious Whoopie Pies & Baylee made cute little toppers to stick in them. Her class & teachers loved them! Here she is opening all of her presents! Yea--a new big bike! I think it might be a little too big but she loves it & she'll grow into it.

We went to Trafalga & Baylee had her best friend here visiting from Texas so she came with us. Afterwards we went to get slushies & then Baylee rode her bike with her friends the rest of the day. It was a bike fest with the whole neighborhood out in our front street.

We went to dinner at Brick Oven cuz Baylee wanted to use her free meal coupon from school. They sang Happy Birthday to her & she got a free slice of pie. We were so full that we didn't have room for cake & icecream at home so we just sang & she blew out her 10 candles! We'll eat cake another day. Here she is in her new dance outfit I made her for dance classes. Super cute!

Well Baylee is 10 & she is such a beautiful, darling girl. I get so many comments on how amazing Baylee is & how everyone loves her & how she makes everyone feel loved & happy. It makes me proud to know that she is becoming the girl I want her to be & she truely does it on her own...she inspires me to be better & she makes me so happy! Love you Bay!

Well now that my computer is fixed I am back-tracking a bit. These are some pics of Ky's birthday celebration & of him seeing his room for the first time! He's so animated with his face in all of these pics...that's Kyler for ya!
Here are the pics from the Sunday right after his birthday, which was Father's Day. We decided to celebrate both with Kyler's birthday cake. 8 is GREAT!
The weekend later was time for the cousins to come stay over for a couple of days. We did a ton with the cousins here & we had tons of fun! Here are some pics of us climbing up to the Gerado in Payson canyon. The kids loved seeing the waterfall & taking the hike too!

These are the pics of Kyler's baptism day! Wow what a day! Here he is opening all of his special baptism gifts that everyone gave him. He was spoiled for sure! Thank you everyone who gave him these amazing gifts and for going in on his brand new scriptures! He loves them all!

We had such a wonderful, spiritual day with family being there & you all made Kyler feel so special just for being there to share in his baptism & for that I thank you all! I have a special place in my heart for my Kyler--my only boy. He is amazing and one of a kind! There is something about Kyler that makes everyone just love him & enjoy being with him. He is 'the icing to my cupcake'! :)

Well--I have been wanting to post these pics sooner, but my computer is broken & even though I have a husband who fixes computers, he is waaaay too busy to fix mine! Anyways, Kyler is now 8 & he got a new room from us for his birthday! I was so happy to get this done because Ky's room is the smallest in the house & he had no space in there to play, let alone move. It drove me crazy...it was so disorganized & I hated going in there to try & clean it up---no space. Well now he has sooooo much space! Yahoo! Room to play in the middle of his floor instead of the doorway & room to do homework & now more closet space too since he has built in drawers between the ladder on the bed. So half of the reason my computer isn't fixed is because Chaden has been working on Ky's new bunk-bed...which is really what I wanted to get done the most. It's amazing, as you can see & he did such a great job on it. Kyler LOVES it, to say the very least! I'm glad it's done & here are some pics of his room!

He has a chalkboard on the other side of his drawers, right in by his desk & then a corkboard on the front to hang homework reminders, spelling, invitations, etc. Love that!

And he got a fun basketball hoop that hangs from his closet & there has already been a full-on game in his room with at least 5 of his buddies! Fun stuff!

Piano Recital!

Baylee & Kyler had their piano recital this week & they did great! I tried to upload the videos of them playing their songs but I couldn't get it to work. This was Kyler's very first recital & he played 'The Indian Song', & this was Baylee's second recital & she played 'The Malaguania'. They both sounded so good & practiced real hard for their recital!

Elle's 1st Pre-school graduation!

It was so fun to watch Elle do her pre-school graduation program. She sang her fun songs & got her little diploma...these are some of the pictures from her graduation day.

Great job Elle!It's now swimming lessons time! The kids have started their swimming lessons this week & they love them, of course! We've been going to lessons & then staying to swim the rest of the day! It's been great & the kids definitely get tired out!All of my kids have always been great swimmers & not afraid of the water, but I think Elle is a fish for sure! She jumps in and dunks under, holds her breath & does the whole 'superman' swim underwater all on her own! She will go to the deep and just keep swimming! It's quite tiring to keep up with her, but fun! Fun summer swimming.Kyler is turning 8 this month which means he starts Boy Scouts! I'm so excited for this...I didn't have any brothers so I know nothing about scouts but I'm ready for Ky to be involved in this & he is so excited too! This is his first 'Pack Night' & they got to initiate him as the newest cub scout. He got to bring the flag in for the pledge of allegiance & then his dad got to bring him in hanging on a big log...he thought that was so cool!

Spring Soccer!!

It's been all soccer these past 4 weeks here! We signed up both Baylee & Kyler for spring soccer & Chaden is a coach too! It 's been crazy with games at the same time, twice a week, or games from 5-8pm, twice a week. Phew! I actually really love watching the kids do sports & yelling from the sidelines! Chaden was Kyler's teams' coach & he, of course, did an awesome job!

Here is Ky & Chaden at some of the games.I only got a few pics of Baylee playing because I get 'involved' to say the least, & forget to take out the camera. Baylee is an AWESOME soccer player. She made at least one goal at every game (except one) & all I hear is 'Your daughter is a really good soccer player!'. She gets in there & loves to play forward & take the ball & just...GO! I love watching her!

Easter 2011!!

Well--we had a wonderful Easter! We really tried to teach the kids about the reason we celebrate Easter. We did a fun Easter/Resurrection FHE & the 12 days of Easter. Their last egg they opened for the 12 days of Easter was empty & had a saying in it about how the tomb was empty & about Jesus. I think the kids really felt the meaning of Easter.

They got some candy & little toys along with new Sunday church clothes!

We ended the day with an Easter egg hunt at Grandmas with cousins! What a great family day!

Spring Break..so far!

WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS SOME PRETTY GROSS PICTURES!

Well it is our Spring Break for this week & we've had the whole week planned out pretty much, because we were just hanging out at home for the time off. We decided the very first thing we would do was go ice-skating. The kids have never gone before...so I thought it would be fun. Elle really didn't want to go because she was scared, but ended up loving it since they had these cool little walkers for her! We went to the ice arena at Seven Peaks & we had a blast...for the first 40 minutes!

Well after about 40 min. into skating I hear Kyler's blood-curdling scream & see him lying down on the ice holding his chin. I slid over to him & the first thing he says was 'I think I broke my jaw!' I look inside his mouth & see no blood whatsoever & I was so relieved until we start walking off the ice & I saw a trail of blood-drops behind us & that was when I noticed the cut under his chin. I took him into the bathroom & got some tissue; when the blood was washed away I could see the cut & I just thought to myself--I don't think a bandaid will fix this. So we got ready to leave & I called Chaden cuz I wasn't sure if I should take him to the hospital or the Dr.'s office. He called the Dr. & they said they would get ready for us to come. We get to the Dr.'s & they took us right in & he said he would need a couple of stitches...that it wasn't too deep, but it was pretty wide. I had the girls go play out in the playroom while I stayed & comforted Ky. I was doing o.k., I watched them stick a needle in his chin right next to the cut & started watching the Dr. stitch up his chin. That was when I felt my eyes start rolling in back of my head & everything clouding up. I couldn't believe I was getting sick & nauseous! I said I needed to sit down & the nurse got me some water. FIVE stitches later Ky was fine, I barely made it out of the Dr.'s, and that was the first day of our Spring Break! Lots of fun! So the next day was definitely more low-key. Just so everybody knows, Kyler is almost 8 yrs. old & he has never had to go to the Dr.'s for something like that...never had a broken bone or anything. That's pretty good for an 8 yr. old boy. I, myself, have never seen my child get injured that bad before (I know it was just stitches), so I hope this is the first & last because I obviously can't handle something like that. Anyway, we decorated Easter egg cartons to put our 12 eggs in for the 12 days of Easter & that was all we did the following day!

We just got back from 'Hop' the movie for our 3rd day of Spring Break! No injuries sinced Monday! Phew! Hope everyone elses Spring Break doesn't have as much drama as mine already has!

My living room is officially done! I got the canvas pictures of the kids in the mail just yesturday, had Chaden hang them, & now this room is just how I've wanted it. I LOVE the pictures of the kids--I could sit and look at them forever! They are so beautiful! Yay!

Well, I just wanted to post some random things--but mostly to show-off our new addition to the family room, & my husbands' amazing handi-work. We got a fireplace put in the family room at the end of February & just finally got it all built in & decorated the way I wanted to actually show pics of it. I LOVE IT! This type of fireplace--just plain white & simple--has always been something I wanted in my home & now we do & it is so pretty & adds so much to the living room. We bought the mantle on KSL quite a while ago, then we got the insert. Chaden built the wall above it & the whole box inside & around it. He even did some decorative molding on the sides to match the front. It is so beautiful!

The only thing that is missing is 3 pics of the kids above the piano...they are coming in the mail soon & then my living room will be complete. I even finally got some drapes for the arch window...after living in our home for almost 6 years!

So this is what we woke up to Conference morning on Sunday! We were just fertilizing, planting strawberries, & doing yard work yesturday & now there is more than a foot of snow! Crazy Utah weather!

Our Mexico trip--2011!

Well we are back from Mexico & we had a blast! We went with my sister's & their husbands, along with my mom & dad. Our resort, Moon Palace, was amazing--thanks to my mom. It was so nice to be with my hunny & not have to worry about the kids--thanks to Crystal! Enjoy all the pics.

These are just some random pics...picture of our resort outside our room, pics of all of us out shopping, Chaden & Jared on their boat going scuba diving, & me watching the fun Micheal Jackson concert the resort put on. Lots of fun.

These pics are when we first got there...just chilling at the pool & walking out to the beach. I love the pic of me, my mom, & my sis jumping up on the beach--my mom looks SO cute.

We all tried rock climbing & I was nervous at first, but I did it & thought it was fun! And a pic in the pool at the 'bar'--"strawberry daquari, no alcohol please".

These pics are some of us eating out at a really good chinese resturaunt! I loved the chinese food here, but I actually tried sushi for the first time here too. It wasn't bad & it was fun to try it.
The last thing we did was go to a really cool place where we zip-lined, swam under the caves, rode the rafts in the caves, & four wheeled through the caves. It was so much fun! I loved this part of the trip & we all had a blast!

Our trip was AMAZING & we want to thank Crystal & Ty for watching & playing with our kids while we were gone. Thanks to my parents for always letting us go on these trips together & thanks to my sisters & their husbands for hanging out & making it even more fun!

Today was Elle's birthday! She is now 4 yrs. old! I can't believe my baby is 4! She had a big, fun day! In the morning we had all the birthday decorations up & cooked her favorite chocolate muffins for breakfast...then Elle opened up some gifts! She got lots of fun stuff for her dollhouse that she got for Christmas, some books, & a new scooter! I was able to have Elle all day to myself because the kids were at school & we had a GREAT day! We went to Build-a-Bear! She loved it! I loved it! Such cute stuff it's crazy! I could've made myself one...seriously! She picked out all the stuff for her bear & it is so stinkin' adorable!
After, we went to McDonald's (of course) for lunch & then home to ride on the new scooter & wait for the kids to come home from school. Daddy came home from work & gave her 4 roses. There's a story...I got roses from Chaden once & Elle saw how happy I was & that I liked them, so couple days later we asked what she wanted for her birthday & she said roses! So cute!

At the end of the day we had another party with Grandma & Grandpa & Aunt Karen came too. More presents, cake, & icecream! What a busy, fun day for Elle.

Elle is an amazing, sweet, girl! She definitely has her own personality & lots of 'spunk'--to say the least! I love to watch her move, hear her sing to me all day, & just be Elle. She has the biggest smile & I can't get enough of her kisses! She loves to give me hugs & kisses & she always says she loves me & it makes me feel so good--everyday! My favorite thing she says is when I kiss her goodnight she kisses me & says 'Mom--I'll kiss you in the morning'. I look forward to seeing her in the doorway in the mornings when I come back from drill. She stands there & waits for me & waves & jumps up & down. She makes me so happy & we wouldn't be the Hite family without our Elle! Happy Birthday my sweetie! I love you more! (Then Elle would say 'I love you the most'!) Oh-wow I love this girl!:)

4A Drill Team State Competition is now over & the Maple Mountain Elleves did AMAZING!

First I wanted to show the cute little boxes I made the girls for State. I decided to make a 'mint' box--because I once told the girls that I would always suck on a mint every time I would perform as a dancer & I just wanted to share my tradition with them. So I stuffed the boxes with lifesaver mints, 3 musketeers mints, & regular chocolate mints. Those boxes smelled SO good! I had a little star inside that said 'You were 'MINT' to be an Elleve!' Then I put a sparkly star on top of it & a tag with a poem inside.

Here we are at the end of State with our 3rd place Overall! We got 2nd in Military! 3rd in Dance, & 3rd in Kick! If you aren't familiar with Drill Team competitions then those are amazing placements! State is the last competiton & only the select teams actually get to go--so we were up agains the best of the best. 15 of the best to be exact--& we were 3rd! I was so happy & proud of the girls! They deserve it! Congrats to my Elleves!

REGION CHAMPIONS!!...

AGAIN!!!

For the second year in a row my Drill Team girls placed as the Region Champions at the Region 8 competition! They are amazing girls, amazing dancers, & an amazing team to coach! They make me so proud of all they accomplish & push through & for the hard work they put into this team to make them who they are right now! Congratulations to my Maple Mountain Elleves!

These are the cute headbands I made the girls for Region! Yes I rolled 72 of those little flowers--PHEW! They wore them when they came out for the 'Parade of Champions' at the beginning of Region & they wore them for the Drill downs & the awards at the end. They looked SO cute on them! I loved it!

I put them in these cute little bags for each girl with their name on a star tag. Their 'theme/symbol' this year is stars.

And of course I had to make them something...last year I made some pretty amazing cupcakes & I guess they wanted them this year too. In fact, they were looking forward to the cupcakes, so I felt kinda bad that I didn't make them--I thought they would want something different. So I made these, we call them Whoopie Pies, & they LOVED them!

They are GIGANTIC homemade oreo cookies & they were delicious!

We'll see how they do at State & they might get some cupcakes again!:)

Drill Team!!!

Just really need to do a 'brag-spot' here on my blog about the drill team I coach. They are the Maple Mountain Elleves & we had a HUGE competition on the 16th up at the Murray Classic. They did AMAZING! First of all we were up against 15 other teams in the 4A divison...they ended up taking 2nd in Hip-Hop, then 1st in Military, 1st in Dance, & 1st in Kick!!! That is so AWESOME! We also got the OVERALL 4A trophy!!! We even got an 'Exceptional Technique' award in our Dance routine! Last but not least, we had a 1st place & a 3rd place in the drill down too! It was such a great night for the girls & for me & Molly! They have worked so hard for this & we totally deserve it! Now its time to go to work for Region & State! Here we go...stay tuned!

Our Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! The kids got spoiled once again & got lots of fun stuff! They got some fun new pajamas from Grandma Williams' to wear Christmas Eve night & to wake up in Christmas morning. Here are all the presents...what a fun, fun day! I love Christmas--it's even funner when you get to watch your kids be so excited & happy when they see their stuff!Baylee got her Ipod nano she wanted--she even paid for some of it because she was saving up for one. Ky got some DS games & a nerf gun...among other things. Elle got an amazing dollhouse with all the rooms to set up in it. It is so cute!
Here are the kids in their new Sunday dresses & tie that I made for them for Christmas. Yea--they looked so cute at church! One of my favorite things to do is make them matching Christmas outfits! I love it!

We hope everyone had as wonderful a Christmas as we did! We are so greatful for all our blessings; for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, & for each other as a family! Merry Christmas & now Happy New Year!

Polar Express & Pics with Santa!

It's almost Christmas & we have been super busy with all things 'christmas-y', along with work, gymnastics, drill team, & church! It literally has been crazy--more than usual, but it is finally slowing down this week & I am so happy! We decided to try out the Polar Express this year & if the kids were writing this they would say it was a blast & they loved it! They did have lots of fun, but I didn't really think it was that amazing--especially for what we had to pay for our whole family to go...but you live & learn. We had a super fun ward christmas breakfast & Santa came & he was the best Santa this year! He was so fun & looked so good--the kids loved him & even Elle went right up to him! What a fun time of year & I love being able to just do it all & be with my family! Merry Christmas!

Our Wonderful Thanksgiving!

Well we had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I was hosting & everything went perfect! The turkey turned out great, thanks to Chaden & to Crystals amazing cooker. All the other food was heavenly! Thanks everyone for helping & coming to our house to be together--I loved it!

Here's pics of the table & spread. YUM! We took the kids up to Grandma's house to play with cousins while the men went snowboarding. We decided to try some hills out by G.ma's house & go sleding. It was hilarious to watch the kids! My sister, Mandi, & I were in tears laughing--mostly at the expense of my kids turfing it bad! Oh...the memories! Ha!

My sweet little sister & her amazing husband came from Cali. for Thanksgiving & they gave us the pleasure of blessing their adorable new baby boy, Quinn, here at my moms church. It was a beautiful blessing, of course, by Jared & just a great day spent together all my family & lots of other family & friends. Thanks everyone for the wonderful weekend! Love you all! Miss you already baby Quinn!

I was a cat for my Drill Team's Halloween party & we went to Pirate Island for Karoke! It was SO FUN & HILARIOUS! The picture is of me & Molly & then the team singing on the stage. They even made me & Molly sing--'Dancing Queen'! Thank heavens I don't have a pic of that--it was embarrassing. The other pics are of the kids trick-or-treating at Chaden's work--that is where we got a TON of candy! And of course pics of pumpkin carving!

At the end of it all we wound up in the movie room to relax and watch a movie together--our favorite thing to do!

Kids' Halloween Party!

Chaden & I decided to throw the kids & their friends an AMAZING Halloween party! I made some fun invitations (that I didn't even take a pic of :( darnit), & the kids picked 6 or 7 friends they wanted to invite. We had around 15 kids there & it was SOOOO much fun--I had a blast & hopefully all the friends did too! Here is all the stuff we made for the party. Chaden--the pirate, made a WICKED rootbeer with dry ice brew. I made some example cupcakes, some gross vegetable dip (the pumpkin was barfing up the dip) Ha!, and some cool spider web funnel cakes. I also made some cute skeleton party favors & my favorite the mummy pinata. I made two pinatas--one for the boys & one for the girls to hit. They were perfect & worked great! So much fun! Thanks everyone for coming!

Well here is another 'brag spot' on my coupon shopping! Today I went to Macey's & got everything you see in this picture FREE! I got 30 canned vegetables (corn & beans) totally for free with coupons! That was all that I was going to the store for but ended getting 20 boxes of fruit snacks, rice krispies, & 100 calorie snacks for FREE! There was a guy there handing out coupons for them & with the coupons they would be .99 each, but then there was a mail-in rebate that would send you back the .99 each--so they will be Free!!! Yahoo for me! $50 bucks worth of groceries for...yep...FREE! And here are the amazing tomatoes our garden has been producing--lots & lots! I have become very creative with using tomatoes lately, but tommorrow I will attempt to make canned salsa & tomatoes with my sister-in-law. Wish us luck!

Elle's first day of pre-school!

This was Elle's first day of pre-school & she did great! I was a little worried because she just cried & cried when we came to registration so I thought she would on her real first day. She was a little aprehensive but she did awesome! It was wierd watching my last go & not have anyone at home for a while, but it was fun too. She had a blast & said she made new friends! Go Elle! Here she is all ready & the cutest thing ever!!!!

Today was the first day of school for Kyler & Baylee--Elle goes on Thursday. They were so excited & look so cute in their first day of school clothes.

This past weekend we took the kids up to Park City for fun! It was fun! We went school shopping of course, & got some super good deals & then basically played the whole time. We stayed in Midway, at the Zermatt Hotel--it was a nice hotel with lots of fun for the kids. We swam in the fun swimming pools & hot tubs most of the time. Then we went back up to Park City to ride the Alpine Slide. The kids loved it & we just all had great fun together as a family. We are having a great summer!!

Our 24th Weekend!

What a fun 24th of July weekend we had just here at home with family & friends. We were a little bummed we weren't able to go to Bear Lake for this weekend like we usually try to do but we still had a lot of fun going to the rodeo during the week, and then we went boating all day on Utah Lake on Friday, & then parade & other fun things on Saturday! Lots of fun!

We were so excited to go to the rodeo close to our home in Spanish Fork. The kids couldn't wait--and they had to alllll day, it was rough. We finally got there after daddy came home from work & it was great. What a fun rodeo!

We really loved the motorcycle guy that jumped the trailer/truck--he was hilarious & amazing; he even said he graduated from Payson High--which is where I did, kinda cool. The bull riding, of course, was awesome--but I have to say watching those kids try to hang on & ride those sheep was hilarious! Gotta love the 'mutton-bustin'. Can't wait to go again!

Baylee's Newly Decorated Bedroom!

This year for Baylee's birthday we decided to give her a newly decorated room! She moved into our room about a year ago & it has been so 'blah' for a girls room so we wanted to do this for her. She picked out her colors (she loves blue) & her material for her quilt that I made. Chaden built the wall unit around her bed--she knew about all of that, but everything else she didn't. So this was her surprise on her birthday!

Bear Lake was our destination for the 4th--as it usually is...but this year was different. The lake was COOOLD! It felt like when we used to go up for Memorial Day at the end of May & the water would take your breath away when you got in. That's how it was...but it's July! Anyways we still had fun & ended up still playing in the freezing water, just not for long periods of time. The georgeous Bear Lake water is just too tempting. Here's some fun pics of the vacation.

This post if for my sweet sister in law who is on a much needed vacation with her hubby--(I hope you guys are having a wonderful time.) We are watching her adorable son Ty & I wanted her to be able to look at some pics of him online while she is away & unable to really call. So here you are Crys...I hope this eases you & lets you know that Ty is doing just fine! Enjoy the pics!

Yes we are feeding him! He is definitely a good eater...he eats more than Elle & maybe even more than Ky & Bay!

Scotty we are keeping up with the soccer practice while you are away. You have taught him well, he is a good little kicker!

Ty sure LOOOVES Kyler! He wants to play with Kyler all the time! They were playing some good soccer almost ALL day Saturday!

We are keeping him clean too! (I've discovered that Ty doesn't really listen when I ask him to smile for the camera...none of these pics are of his face full on! The stinker!)

Crystal & Scott---Ty is such a good, well behaved little boy! He is so easy (besides the diaper changin'-- j/k). It sure shows how well you both are at parenting. He has just become a member of our family this week...coming to track practise, baseball, school programs, meetings, shopping, grandmas, etc. He just tags along like he's been with us forever! He went to Lori's today to play while I got our carpets cleaned & she said he did great...the only bad thing was that Elle was sad he was gone! My kids are going to go through Ty withdrawl when you get back...it's going to be sad. Well hopefully this post gives you peace while you are relaxing at the beach...Ty is just fine and having a blast without you! Ha! J/K! Love you both!

Rite Aid + couponing=CHEAP!!

K--so this was my very first Rite Aid trip using coupons. I have been couponing for over a year now but have mainly just done food & went to Smiths & Maceys. I look at couponing websites giving scenerios just like this one I did & I seriously didn't think it would be that worth it. It definitely was! I will now shop at Rite Aid more often for mostly non-food items.

These are all of the items I bought. Total of 30 items. I got all of my makeup for FREE! I got all of the sanitary items for FREE! The other items were only .50 cents each or so & I had to buy Elle a treat for $1 (which was the most expensive item). My total would have been $50.44 without using my coupons. Can you guess how much I actually paid?

$10.92!

That is basically how much one of the lipsticks I bought costed! (with tax)

Making every item basically .56 cents each!

I couldn't believe it! Yahoo me!

Hershey Track & Field Day!

Baylee had her very first Hershey Track & Field Day. She loved it! She thought it was so fun to race. Of course, it was freezing the whole first part of it & then it warmed up a little towards the end. I had so much fun cheering her on & other kids that I know.

This is Baylee in her ballet outfit for her year-end concert at dance. She did awesome & looks beautiful, of course. I am sad to say she has actually decided to not do dance this next year. She wants to try other things, but still will probably take dance classes & do a solo this next year--she just needs a break from being on the team.

This is a pic of my very first Relief Society 'Enrichment' night that I am in charge of. Everything went great & the sisters had a fun, fun time!

It's Soccer time! Both my kids love to play soccer--I think it is in large part because of their dad. He plays with them all the time & he loves soccer too. I love going and watching them play & yelling--the whole time, of course, for the team my kids' are on.

We are planting a true garden this year & we are excited! We love to get the kids involved & they are so excited too! Daddy needed help getting it all dug out & ready to plant seeds, so Kyler volunteered. He sure hung in there real well...all night, in fact. I made these adorable little 'pillowcase' type dresses for my friend who just had a baby about 3 weeks ago. She wanted matching Easter dresses for her (now) 2 girls. Before she had her new baby girl we went to the fabric store & she picked out this adorable fabric & I made her these fun matching Easter dresses! I can't wait to see them on her girls!For her 3 (I think almost 4) year oldFor the new baby!This one I made a while ago for my little neice for her birthday. I love these colors so I had to show it off. The material makes these dresses look so cute. I still have yet to see her in it! (hint-hint Jen)And, of course, a cute little hair bow to go with it. I am making my sweet girls matching Easter dresses & can't wait to show them to you when they are done. Even a matching tie for my handsome little boy! Stay tuned...

Disney On Ice!

Well I actually won 2 tickets to Disney On Ice--so we bought 3 more & went. It was fun! The kids loved it & we had a good time. We, of course, were in the upper bowl so we brought some binoculars--but we could still see pretty well, it was just a little scary to me up high in those seats. It seemed really steep.

It was Disney--World of Fantasy. It was with Cars, Little Mermaid, The Lion King, & Tinkerbell with the Disney Fairies. I thought Elle's favorite would be seeing Tinkerbell, but she ended up asking the whole night when Mickey & Minnie Mouse would come back out. Fun times!

Baylee had her first competition for this dance year & she did great! She performed two routines; one was combined with another class called "Love Shack" & the other was her individual dance class called "Hot Stuff". She has learned to perform so well with lots of personality & smiles. She has improved a lot in that area this year & she is lots of fun to watch. Her class won "High Gold" in both routines--which is really good. It's the second highest award; the highest is called "Platinum". Great Job Baylee & the Stars dance team!

Drill Team State Competition!

Well it was State Drill Team Competition yesturday & what a day! It is an all day event & we were so ready for it! The girls danced SO good and they did AMAZING! We placed in the top 5 in every routine! We got 5th place in Military, 4th place in Dance, & 4th place in Kick! That put us in the Overall top 5 as the 4th place Overall! That is so awesome for a first year, brand new school/team!!! AND our Drill Team president WON the drill down--1st Place! I am so proud of my girls & how hard they worked to get that far!

This is the other shirt Chaden designed for the drill team to wear to the State competition. It say's 'Region Drill Team Champions' since they won their Region!

This is the back of it!So, of course, I just had to make them something for State!

I decided to make these adorably cute covers over a candy bar! It is a 'Symphony' bar & I just told them that it takes a whole Orchestra to make a Symphony--it can't be done with just one violin, so it takes every person on our team to make our dances perfect! They loved them!22 covers took a long time! But it was fun & I was so happy to do it for the girls--they deserved a little something for sure that day!And here we are at the state competition at UVU with all our trophies!

If you don't know the 'Drill' world it is SO hard to place at state & we placed in every catagory. We were up against 15 teams in the state & we were 4th! That is amazing & even more so for a 1st year school. We still beat out everyone that we already beat at our Region so the whole day just was amazing. I have had the best time with these girls & they are truely beautiful girls & so special--top notch ladies! I love them so much!Thanks Elleve's for giving me this wonderful memory & for a great dance/drill year!

Last night my drill team had their huge Region Drill Team competition! This is a big deal at our house & my whole family gets involved & helps, of course, because I have amazingly talented people in my family. My husband, Chaden, designed these cool shirts to sell at the competition for a drill team fundraiser--& they turned out great! Thanks babe!

We also used it on the front of the program. (This was my program of the night, so sorry it's all wrinkled--I was a bit nervous.)

And then my mom made all the signs for the team rooms as well as for the tabulation room & hospitality room & stuff like that. They looked so good & professional. This was ours for our team room! Thanks again mom--you're the best!

The girls have seriously been working so hard for this day & it's been a lot of very early morning practices to get them the way they looked last night. I made them these adorable cupcakes for good luck & they say 'Think Big, Dream Big' on the front of the trophies.

When I gave them to them I just reminded them of their team saying "New Year, New Team, Same Dream!" and then I read a few quotes. And they sure did WIN!!! They swept the whole competition and were the overall REGION CHAMPIONS! 1st place in every routine--Military, Kick, & Dance! Well we had another great competition on Saturday up at Alta High School. The girls did so awesome! They got two 2nd places & two 3rd places--again in the top 5!! They are so amazing! I love going to these competitions & watching them dance & work together as a team & motivate each other. That was our last 'invitational' competition--next up REGION! K--I have been wanting to post about the amazing drill team that I help coach, so finally I am!

We had a huge competition last Saturday & they did AWESOME! We won two 1st places, a 4th place, & a 5th place--that was out of 10 teams altogether & we placed in every routine we performed! 1st place was in Hip-Hop, the other 1st place was in Dance, 4th place in Military, & 5th in Kick routine! I was so proud of them that day--they have worked so hard & it definitely payed off! It is so much fun coaching these girls! They all have the funnest personalities & I love to watch them dance & to perform like they did at that competition. There is still more to go so I will definitely keep posting about them.

Lights at Temple Square!

Well we had a Christmas party on Sunday & afterwards we decided to go see the lights at Temple Square. It was pretty fun, but cold and crowded. I think the kids had fun & we haven't been in a while so it was time to go again since our kids are a little older.

Baylee's Piano Recital

Baylee had her very first piano recital last week & I am amazed at how fearless she is to get in front of a crowd of people and do anything. She prepared really well and memorized both her songs. She was amazing & I was so proud of her & the talented girl that she is. Great job Bay!

My Christmas Stockings!

Well I finally finished my families Christmas stockings. I have been wanting to have personalized stockings for each of us since last Chrismas & I just didn't get around to it then, so I got them done just in time for this Christmas. Thanks to my Aunt 'Teeny' who sewed the adorable names on them! Now I just need a real fireplace to hang them on--maybe next year!

Well it snowed this passed Sunday & the kids were so excited! They wanted to go out & play right after breakfast...so we did! I decided to got out with them & play cuz Chaden always does it & he had to prepare a lesson. It was a blast! The sun was out & it a perfect time to play in the fresh snow & build snowman. I think we used all the snow it the backyard to build him. The kids were so proud of their big 'Snowy' the snowman!

The kids loved 'Snowy'--unfortunately he fell over right before we went to church! Sad! Next time...

This is the funnest thing for the kids--going to daddy's (& Grandma's) work & going trick-or-treating around all the cubicles. They look forward to it every year & this year they didn't have school on this day so we had time to really get ready & be there right on time. They of course got lots of candy & all of Chaden's co-workers gooed & gaahhd over his adorable family!

Carmel Apple Making Tradition!

Last Halloween we started making carmel apples at Crystals house & now we are making it an every Halloween tradition. We were lots better this year--meaning we knew what we were doing. At least more than we did last year. It was great & all the kids loved snacking on the toppings, especially Ty! Thanks Crys for a fun time, as always!

Halloween Party!

This past Saturday we had a family Halloween Party at my mom & dads house. I can't not even describe how excited my kids were for this party to finally come. All that morning they asked every ten minutes when it was time for the party--finally we all got dressed up & ready to go. It was a blast! Family Trip to the Red Barn!

I love the fall season! Especially when it is true, beautiful, fall weather like we have been having these last couple of days here in Utah! We decided to go on our family outing to the Red Barn in Santaquin today, Saturday--& I am sure glad we did because it was a gorgeous day. We took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch to find out pumpkins & then we always come back to the Red Barn to eat some yummy treats. It was great!

I did it! St. George Marathon-2009!

I still can't believe I actually did something like this--running a marathon, 26.2 miles! It's crazy, I know, but it is something I can now say that I have done in my life! It was definitely an experience I will never forget! This was the hardest thing I have ever done--really! Here is a breakdown of my experience & then a slideshow of the whole run day!

*I started running about 6 months after Elle was born.

*Trained & ran a half-marathon, 13.1 miles...

*Thought it was fun & not too bad...

*Decided to sign up for the St. George marathon--thinking no way will I get in...

*Got an e-mail saying I made it into the marathon--Uh-Oh!

*Started training for the marathon--a 16 week schedule...

*Ran 4 times a week on my own & met Crystal to run the big runs every Saturday.

*Ran the big runs (12, 15, 16, 17, 18, & 20 miles) with Crys up Provo canyon every week.

*Relieved after the last big run, 20 miles!

*Training was super, super hard & was time consuming!

*My body did some wierd things through out my whole training.

*Then came the day & I felt confident about running!

Here it is:

I had 2 distinct goals for running the marathon:

1. Do not walk!

2. Finish in under 5 hours!

(My official clocked time was 4:49:29)

I made both of my goals & am real proud of myself for doing something that was such a challenge for me!

I just have to thank my amazing sis-in-law, Crystal, for helping me throughout the whole process & for running beside me! ...Oh & for getting me to do it, sortof! Ha!

I also have to thank my amazing husband for all the time he had to devot to watching the kids on his own while I trained & for pushing me & cheering me on during the marathon! I love you Chaden! Definitely could not have done this without him!

And, of course, my parents! My dad was my best fan & was so great at the marathon to cheer me on (along with cheering a lot of other runners on)--he was a great support. Thanks dad! My kids--oh, my kids--I felt during the marathon, that I was running to the finish so I could see them & be with them. When I was done, I picked up my metal & Baylee yelled for me & said "Mom--good job mom! You won!" And I definitely did win!!

There is my story! I ran a marathon! I will keep running!

Baylee & Chaden had a 'Daddy-daughter Date' night for the 8-14 year old girls in the Stake & it was a 50's theme. Here they are all dressed up for the night. There was dinner & dancing, which they learned some fun 'swing' type 50's dance, & dessert. I have been wanting to go with the family hiking forever. I love to hike! I did it with my family when I was younger & loved it so I have been waiting 'til the kids were a little older & 'til we actually had a free Saturday--well this past Saturday was the day. We started small & just hiked a fun 'kid friendly' trail that leads to a fun little waterfall. The kids seriously loved it! From the car ride up the canyon to the trail & of course the waterfall--they had a blast & took in every little detail of the beautiful outdoors. I love my family! We are the perfect group! They are the best thing in my life & love doing stuff like this & everything with them!

Well now that the kids are both at school all day long it is time for Elle to have some schooling of her own. (She needs something to pass the time while the kids are gone.) So the fun chalkboard in the playroom is great for playing 'teacher' and learning some basic stuff. Elle lets me play teacher & then she is the teacher too. She knows all of these shapes on the board. She is so smart and just fun to watch learning new things. ABC's & #'s are next!

First Day of School--2009!

Yesturday was the kids' first day of school! Aug. 19th! My oldest, Baylee, is in the 3rd grade this year & Kyler is in 1st grade--so they both are at school the whole day! It was sure quiet on that first day with them gone the whole day & Elle was a bit sad about it. She keeps asking where the kids are--especially Kyler. Baylee's Baptism!

Baylee was able to get baptised this past weekend--on Saturday, and this is the invitation/card we just sent out to family to let them know that she is getting baptised & just to show how she has grown. My mom actually made this & I love it! It is so fun to see how Bay has changed through the years--from a baby, then her 1st year & on to now! Amazing! Dance Attack! '09

Baylee had a dance camp the first of this week for 3 days called 'Dance Attack'. I used to go to these camps when I danced at The Dance Club & now I am watching her do it. Well she sure danced hard. She would take class from 8am to around 7 or 8pm with a couple breaks in between. She loved her hip hop classes the best & just dancing & being with friends. I was real proud of her and all her hard work (even though she didn't feel well part of the time)--she still kept dancing and trying her hardest!

She was able to get taught by some amazing teachers/choreographers. This is Joey & Jackie--they are sisters and Joey choreographed a Broadway routine on this years 'So You Think You Can Dance' (SYTYCD) t.v. show.

Baylee was able to swim alot at the hotel with us and with friends & she even got her hair done from some hairstylists before the closing ceremonies.

Anniversary Weekend!

Well we had a great Anniversary weekend! I woke up to these amazing flowers on the table with some cards! Chaden knows I love lilies!!! Then we took the kids up to see the Oquirrh Temple & it was so great! The kids loved it & it was just a perfect time together as a family! Then we took the kids to my sisters' house for the weekend while Chaden & I had time together. It was so awesome!! We went to movies & out to dinner & just stayed home with silence! Thanks Mandi for watching the kids--we know they were in good hands! 10 years feels GOOD!

Baylee had her 8th birthday this week & it was pretty low key cuz it was her year to not have a friend party. The day was still pretty busy though. She chose 2 friends to take to the pool & we did that all afternoon & then when daddy got home we went to see 'Up' the movie. We got home pretty late so we didn't do cake cuz she went straight up to Grandmas to sleepover. She got to spend the whole next day with Grandma & go shopping & pick her present--then of course she had dance class & then she came back home & we had cake! I sometimes can't believe I have an 8 year old! Happy Birthday Bay! She sure can't wait for her baptism in a couple of weeks! Here is Baylee with all her presents in the morning!

We had my sister, Mandi's, kids for the weekend to play & it was a blast! We did everything we possibly could fit in & basically just played the whole time!

WE GOT CARPET!!! This was a busy weekend with the kids & cousins & to add to it we got our carpet installed too! It is SOOOO nice! It is so fluffy & squishy! We love it!

This is the padding that we loved so much! It's what makes it feel so squishy!

Here it is! And that black frame is a chalkboard we made for the kids' playroom!

This is the kitchenette in the entertainment room.

The kids love it! They were rolling all around on it!

Chaden was in heaven! He loves it too! Now all the hard, hard work is mostly done & he can start setting up all the fun stuff! Thanks for all your hard work hun--you deserve a happy roll on the new carpet too!

Baylee has lost 2 teeth already this summer.
She lost the bottom one the day before school got out so she got to show her teacher & then she lost the top tooth (her 'bucky' we call it) a few weeks ago. I guess someone she was playing with accidently punched her & knocked it loose & then she pulled it out later!

And, as you know, we are getting closer to being done in the basement & these are pics of Elle in the jetted tub. Chaden just finished the plumbing & filled it up & got the jets going & Elle wanted to get in, of course. Well when she would sit down all you could see was her head--& just barely. It was hilarious! I can't wait to get in!

I love flowers! More so the ones that I can plant in my yard & watch them grow than the ones that just sit in a vase--although I like those too, but these hanging pots are my new fav! We have this nice long porch & this is the first year I've done the hanging pots & I love them. I hope they last! I love to sit out on my porch and just look at them & the ones slowly growing in my yard--they make me smile & happy! On this particular day we were out playing & I spotted this beautiful butterfly on my flowers! The kids loved it & we watched it fly to each pot of flowers & make them even more beautiful!

We just got a new addition in our house this weekend. It's a piano! It's actually my Grandpa Williams' piano that he used to play. I have some great memories of him playing all the hymns on this piano & of me as a little girl playing on it with him & now I get to have it in my house. My dad went to Idaho to visit my grandma & he picked up the piano that has just been sitting there & brought it home for us! Thanks dad so much! We love it! Baylee has actually been taking piano lessons for 5 months now & we haven't had a piano for her to practice on so we would go up to my mom & dads to practice on their piano. It wasn't bad just hard to get the time to go up there & practice--now she can practice at home!
The kids love it & Ky keeps saying he wants to learn how to play!
